UK Businesses Invited to Tender for Ultrasonic Rail Flaw Detection Services in Israel

UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) has announced that an Israeli company is calling for expressions of interest from companies wishing to tender for delivery of ultrasonic rail flaw detection services to the Israel Rail Network.

Companies with previous experience in providing such services are invited to register their details with UKTI, which is currently the only way to obtain information about the company’s requirements.

Non-destructive ultrasonic rail flaw detection is a critical service to rail networks, identifying flaws in rails before they are visible to the human eye, preventing potential derailments and service failures, and ensuring safety for passengers and train operators.

UKTI works with UK based business to ensure success in international markets. Over the past decade, bilateral trade with Israel has exceeded£2bn.

The Israel intercity, commuter and freight rail network extends to 1,000 km of track and carried 35million passengers in 2011.
