Countdown to World Congress

The International Association of Public Transport World Congress and Mobility & City Transport Exhibition is just two months away and will take place from May 26-30 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The World Congress attracts sustainability mobility professionals from around the world and the Exhibition features over 300 international exhibitors and 10,000 visitors under one roof.

This year, the World Congress will also feature a MENA session:

Public transport future and economy in major MENA cities

The MENA region is undergoing massive transformation financially & politically which reflects directly on the economy. Transportation is one of the key elements in the economical perspective of a city. A city with an appropriate transport system will unsurprisingly have a strong economy. Cities in MENA are realising the significant importance of mass transport systems according to population growth and several projects are implemented or to be executed in the near future. Indeed most of the major Public Transport projects in the next decade are in the MENA region. This session will shed the light on few cities that are in position to implement their Public Transport Solutions as a major mode of transport.
